Day cares, Hoikuen in Japanese are available if you want or need to work but have young children who need taking care of.
- Application form will be provided by the day-care or Sakyo-ward office (welfare section) in November.
- Applications are accepted from the later part of November through December at the day-care you are wishing to enroll your children.
- You will have an interview in the middle thorough later part of January.
- Decisions are made by early or mid-March.
- You will receive notification from the day-care in the early part of March if your children are accepted. If the applicants goes over the limit, children are accepted from the application file in order of priority score.
